Stampin' Up Christmas Cheer!

Morning! Been busy getting my first Stampin' Up card ready to send out for Christmas! I am very pleased with the layout and found the stamps lovely to use. For this card I used the "Happy Hour" set. They stamped cleanly and the punch created a clean cut scallop circle. Very impressed!

Happy Beer Day!!!

Tomorrow is my brother-in-law-to-be's Birthday. Sometimes it's harder to come up with a pretty manly card. Here I have used a template in the shape of a beer mug. I've embossed some core-colour paper and sanded over it to create the swirls. For the foam I used pearlised PVA glue and a cocktail stick. Die cut a label and finished off with ribbon and PVA dots.

Very please with finished results :)

Life . . .

Life seems to be getting in the way. Having an "interesting" time at the mo, but that's boring. So here is a lily card I made using punched petals and promarkers. Been working on some paper flower Christmas wreaths too - photos to follow . . .

DT Call Challenge . . . Texture

 for Creative Expressions!

Here is the texture card I have designed for th DT Challenge:

I decided to use the lovely heart stamp by IndigoBlu and use the Flitter Glu by the same company, this is a Glu which you can use for gilding flakes:

I started by scoring the pale gold card in diagonal lines on my Hougie board. I then embossed so core card and sanded this to create depth in the texture. Glues and trimmed this as below:

The I stamped the image onto cream card following the instructions from IndigoBu. I used autumn gilding flakes to cover the heart stamp, trimmed around and matted onto gold woven paper.

I die cut some pale flower paper using Edgeabilities dies and lined this up with the pattern below useing foam pads to create depth.

Resulting in the finished card which looks pretty and has lots of different textures. Perfect for anniversaries or Valentine's Day
